OVERALL

  • This role will be an opportunity for an inspiring leader to take the reins of the company’s marketing strategy and lead the dynamic, in-house creative team.
  • The CMO will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership in support of a wide range of organizational priorities and operational needs.
  • The successful CMO will be responsible for managing all marketing functions to include developing and executing a well-defined business, marketing and communications strategy that is in line with the strategic vision of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of an executive management team, the CMO will have interaction with various members of a company, both senior and junior. A CMO job description should include:

  • Lead and oversee a broad array of functions including marketing strategy, product marketing, competitive intelligence, digital and social marketing, marketing communications, community management, public, and industry relations
  • Collaborate with leadership as well as brand and functional leadership to align key business priorities to ensure the company is operationally enabled for success
  • Act as a thought-leader and change-agent for the company brand by developing tracking metrics and success criteria to effectively measure efficiency and results of strategies
  • Create a best in class digital marketing presence with a consistent brand narrative across all platforms
  • Execute brand and marketing strategies at a corporate level and deliver to the regional and divisional levels
  • Manage quarterly and fiscal planning including tracking the budget and resource requirements to align with strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with CFO to maximize marketing budgets for marketing projects through efficient process management and effective contract negotiation
  • Establish regular communication forums with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Lead corporate strategies around workflow, internal tools, and compliance
  • Manage and build strong partnerships with ad agencies and other external vendors

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree Marketing or Business is required; MBA a plus
  • 10 years of senior marketing leadership running operations within an agency or in-house creative marketing environment
  • Understanding and experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Adwords and multiple social media mediums
  • Data-driven, analytical approach to making business recommendations and decisions
  • Exceptional marketing planning and execution skills; ability to translate business strategy into go-to-market plans
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance
  • Advanced experience working with a variety of traditional and modern marketing and communications functions including branding and messaging to different target audiences
  • Expertise in production of marketing and communication assets
  • Strong working knowledge of budgeting tracking and scope tracking
  • Proven ability to develop, implement and maintain standards with strong process management skills
  • Ability to build structure and processes that support a creative environment
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills as well as verbal communication
  • Outstanding project management skills
